会社沿革と社史メモ

『帝国ホテル百年史』の英語版。序章"Hospitality : a medley of traditions"では、西欧の伝統を受け継ぎながら日本の迎賓館としての歴史を築いた帝国ホテルの「もてなしの心」に触れる。第1章"The grand design"では、1890年（明23）の開業前後からホテルの基礎を作り上げた時期を扱う。第2章"The vibrant image"は、ライト館時代の輝かしい発展と戦争前後の時期を述べる。第3章"Practical accommodations"では、新しい時代に即した本館を建築し更に向上を目指すホテルの姿を描く。巻頭に年表を置き本文中に多くの写真をとりいれた編集。
